Volleyball Stars Tianjin and Conegliano Advance to Semifinals! 🏐🎉
Hey volleyball fans! Exciting news from the FIVB Women’s Club World Championship! Two amazing teams, Tianjin Bohai Bank from China and Imoco Volley Conegliano from Italy, have made it to the semifinals! Let’s find out how they did it!
Tianjin’s Winning Streak 🌟
Tianjin Bohai Bank played an incredible match against Brazil’s Gerdau Minas. They won in straight sets (that’s when a team wins three sets without losing any) without dropping a single set! Their captain, Li Yingying, was on fire! She scored an amazing 22 points! 😮
Li’s powerful serves and spikes helped Tianjin control the game. A spike is when a player jumps and hits the ball hard over the net into the other team’s court. Her teammate Wang Yizhu also made some smashing hits. Together, they led Tianjin to win the first set 25-19.
The second set was close, but Tianjin stayed strong and won 25-22. In the third set, they kept their cool and won again 25-22. Way to go, Tianjin! 🏆
After the match, Li Yingying said, “My goal is to play with joy and enjoy each match as much as possible.” She wants to keep a positive attitude as they head into the semifinals.
Conegliano’s Powerful Play 🇮🇹
Imoco Volley Conegliano from Italy also had a big win! They played against Japan’s NEC Red Rockets Kawasaki and won without losing a set. One of their star players is Zhu Ting from China. She showed great blocking skills, which is when a player stops the other team’s spike by jumping up at the net.
Conegliano won the first set 25-21. Zhu Ting made some amazing attacks, scoring 12 points. Another teammate, Isabelle Haak from Sweden, scored a match-high 17 points! 😲
They kept up the good work, winning the second set 25-20, and the third set 25-19. Now, they’re heading to the semifinals as the top team in their group. Good luck, Conegliano! 🎉

In the semifinals, Tianjin will play against another Brazilian team, Dentil Praia Clube. Conegliano will face off against their Italian rivals, Vero Volley Milano. These matches are going to be super exciting! Who will make it to the finals? Stay tuned to find out!
