Hey there! 😊 Have you ever thought about how the buildings around us affect the way we live and feel? Meet Shuhei Aoyama, a Japanese architect who has been living in China for 20 years! 🏯🇨🇳
Back in 2015, Shuhei became famous when he appeared on a popular TV show. He took an old hutong—a traditional narrow street or alley in Beijing—and transformed it into an amazing living space! 🏡✨ Isn’t that cool?
Since then, he’s been working on making old urban areas lively again, designing awesome commercial spaces, and even working on projects around the world! 🌏🚀
With the 2025 World Expo coming up in Osaka, Japan 🇯🇵, Shuhei talked to CGTN reporter Yang Yan about how buildings can bring people together. He believes that architecture isn’t just about walls and roofs; it’s about the connection between humans and the spaces they live in! ❤️🏠
He also thinks that big events like the World Expo help countries communicate and share ideas. It’s like a giant playground where everyone shows their coolest inventions and designs! 🥳🌐
Isn’t it amazing how architecture can make a difference in our lives? Maybe one day, you’ll design something incredible too! 🖌️🏗️
