The Shanghai Sharks are on a roll! On Friday night, they defeated the Beikong Royal Fighters 108-96 at home, marking their 10th consecutive win in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Isn’t that amazing? 🎉
The game started off super close. Both teams kept scoring and swapping the lead in the first quarter. By the end of it, Beikong was ahead by just four points, leading 32-28.
In the second quarter, Beikong’s players Jared Sullinger and Chen Guohao were tough to beat. They helped their team push ahead to a 49-41 lead. But the Sharks weren’t giving up!
Then came the dynamic duo: Kenneth Lofton Jr. and Eric Bledsoe. These two players teamed up and started scoring lots of points. They led a 10-2 run that changed the game’s momentum. Beikong called a timeout to try and stop them, but the Sharks were unstoppable!
Lofton Jr., who’s only 22 years old, was on fire! 🔥 He scored in all sorts of ways—driving to the basket, shooting jump shots, and even passing to his teammates so they could score. By halftime, the Sharks were leading 64-61.
In the third quarter, the Sharks kept up their great play. They were patient and smart on offense, outscoring Beikong 28-14 in that period. By the end of the quarter, they were ahead 86-75.
The fourth quarter saw a big battle under the basket between Lofton Jr. and Sullinger, who’s 32 years old. Even though Sullinger made it tough, Lofton Jr. found creative ways to score. He even hustled down the court to make fastbreak baskets! His efforts helped the Sharks keep a double-digit lead.
When the final buzzer sounded, the Shanghai Sharks had won 108-96! 🏀🎊 Their 10-game winning streak continues. Way to go, Sharks!
