Hey, tennis fans! Exciting news from Down Under! China’s tennis stars are getting ready to face Brazil and Germany at the United Cup in Perth, Australia. ๐
Zhang Zhizhen, China’s top men’s singles player who is ranked 45th in the world, just arrived in Perth. He shared on social media that he’s super excited for the matches ahead! ๐ธ
On Friday, Zhang will play against Thiago Monteiro from Brazil. Then, next Monday, he’ll face off against Alexander Zverev from Germany. These are going to be some thrilling matches! ๐ฅณ
But that’s not all! Gao Xinyu will represent China in the women’s singles matches and might team up with Zhang in the mixed doubles if needed. How cool is that? ๐
Did you know that Gao was added to the team because Zheng Qinwen decided to focus on the upcoming Australian Open? We wish them both the best of luck! ๐
The United Cup is a super fun tournament where 18 teams from around the world compete in six groups in Sydney and Perth. The top teams will move on to the next rounds. Last January, Germany won the title by beating Poland 2-1! ๐
Let’s cheer on Team China as they take on the world at the United Cup! Go team! ๐จ๐ณ๐ช
