John Parry’s Amazing Golf Comeback! ποΈββοΈβ³οΈ
Do you like stories about never giving up? Here’s one for you! England’s John Parry just won the Mauritius Open after waiting 14 years for his second big win on the DP World Tour!
At the beautiful Mont Choisy Le Golf in Grand Baie, John started the final day five shots behind the leader. But guess what? He played an incredible game, scoring an eagle (that’s super good!), seven birdies (also very good!), and only one bogey. He finished with a fantastic score of 64, setting a target of 14 under par!
Then, John had to wait nervously to see if Dylan Naidoo from South Africa would catch up. But Dylan didn’t make the eagle he needed, so John was the winner! π
John’s last big win was way back in 2010 when he was in his early twenties. Now at 38 years old, he said, “It’s massive. I was close to giving up golf after winning when I was 23 out here. So it’s been a long battle back, but worth every moment for this, this week.”
Isn’t that inspiring? Never give up on your dreams! π
