Imoco Volley Conegliano, a super strong volleyball team from Italy 🇮🇹, just won the FIVB Club World Championship! They beat Tianjin Bohai Bank, a top team from China, in straight sets: 25-21, 25-15, and 25-20. Isn’t that amazing?
We call winning in straight sets a ‘straight-set victory’, which means they won all the sets without losing any.
Guess what? This is Conegliano’s third world title in only four times playing in this big competition! 🎉
Even though Tianjin didn’t win, they made history! Their second-place finish is the best any Chinese team has ever done in this tournament! 🥈
During the match, Tianjin started strong and led in the first set, but Conegliano came back and won. In the second set, Conegliano’s powerful serves were too tough, and they won again. Finally, Conegliano sealed the deal in the third set!
A special shout-out to Isabelle Haak from Sweden 🇸🇪! She plays for Conegliano and was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament! At only 25 years old, she’s super talented!
