Speed Skating Star Fan Kexin Makes Exciting Return in Beijing!
Hey everyone! Do you know about Fan Kexin? She’s one of China’s coolest short track speed skaters! 🏃♀️⛸️ After missing the first two World Tour stops, she’s back on the ice in Beijing!
Fan Kexin returned to the Capital Indoor Stadium, the same place where she helped Team China win their first gold medal at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics! Isn’t that awesome?
On Friday, Fan competed in the women’s 500-meter, 2,000-meter mixed relay, and women’s 3,000-meter relay. She did great and feels she’s already in good shape, even though it’s her first competition this season.
“I feel like I’m in pretty good shape right now,” Fan said. “Every time I compete, I treasure every moment even more. As long as I get to compete, I’ll give it my all.”
Although she couldn’t join the first two stops of the World Tour, Fan didn’t waste any time. She focused on training and even got a new pair of skates! Her old skates were with her for two Olympic cycles! 👟✨
“I made some adjustments to my equipment and switched to a new pair of skates,” she added. “I spent time finding what feels most comfortable for me.”
Her teammates are super happy to have her back! Gong Li, another skater, said, “Fan Kexin is back, that of course makes our relay team stronger. She brings a wealth of experience, which leads us to achieve even better results.”
Even athletes from other countries are excited. Italian Olympic champion Arianna Fontana said, “I’m really happy she’s back, and we always have fun skating against her. She’s a really good skater, a real good fighter on the ice. So it’s always fun to be on the ice with her.”
Isn’t it cool how sports can bring people together from all over the world? 🌍❤️
We can’t wait to see how Fan and her team do in the next competitions! Let’s cheer them on! 🎉
