Chinese Badminton Stars Shine: Reach Three Finals at BWF China Masters! 🏸

Hey Badminton fans! 🎉 Guess what? China’s badminton players are on fire at the BWF China Masters in Shenzhen! They’ve made it to the finals in women’s singles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles! Isn’t that amazing?

Women’s Singles: Gao Fangjie from China beat Supanida Katethong from Thailand with scores of 21-16 and 21-15. Gao played really well and will now face An Se-young from South Korea in the final. An is the top seed and had a tough match, winning 21-5, 22-20 against Tomoka Miyazaki from Japan.

Women’s Doubles: China is guaranteed a gold medal here because both pairs in the final are from China! 🥇 Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning will play against Li Yijing and Luo Xumin. Liu and Tan, the number 2 seeds, won their semifinal against Japan’s Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida 21-12, 21-17. Li and Luo also beat a Japanese pair, Tuki Fukushima and Mayu Matsumoto, with scores of 21-16 and 21-13.

Mixed Doubles: Chinese duo Fang Yanzhe and Huang Dongping are in the final after defeating Malaysia’s Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei 21-18, 21-13. They’ll compete against another Malaysian pair, Hoo Pang Ron and Cheng Su Yin, for the championship!

Men’s Singles: China’s Shi Yuqi lost to Indonesia’s Jonathan Christie 21-17, 21-16. Christie will face Anders Antonsen from Denmark in the final. Antonsen had a close match, beating fellow Dane Viktor Axelsen 16-21, 21-9, 21-20.

Men’s Doubles: China’s He Jiting and Ren Xiangyu were defeated by Indonesia’s Sabar Karyaman Gutama and Muhammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani 21-16, 21-18. The Indonesian pair will play against South Korea’s Jin Yong and Seo Seung-jae, who won against India’s Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty 21-18, 14-21, 21-16.
