Guizhou's millennium-old Emmenopterys henryi tree enters full bloom

A 1,000-Year-Old Tree Blooms Brilliantly in China’s Guizhou Province

🌳✨ Imagine a tree that’s 1,000 years old—older than many countries! In Shiqian County in southwest China’s Guizhou Province, there’s a special tree called the Emmenopterys henryi, and it’s in full bloom right now!

This ancient tree is covered with hundreds of white and yellow flowers that look like tiny funnels. Some petals even have hints of pink and red! When the wind blows, the sweet scent of the flowers fills the air. It’s like walking in a fairy tale forest! 🧚‍♀️🌺

The tree is huge! It stands 20 meters tall—that’s about as tall as a 6-story building! Its trunk is so big that it would take several kids holding hands to hug all the way around it. 🌲🤗

The Emmenopterys henryi is a special plant protected by China. It only blooms every two to four years, and the flowers last for about 15 to 20 days. That makes this blooming period extra special! 🌼⏳

Shiqian County is known as “the hometown of Emmenopterys henryi in China.” There are thousands of these trees growing there, thanks to its perfect weather and location. Isn’t nature amazing? 🌍💚
