Hey tennis fans! Ever heard of Wimbledon? It’s one of the biggest tennis tournaments in the world, held in England. This year, some amazing players from China made big waves on the grass courts!

Zhang Shuai and Alexandrova Advance! 🌟

China’s Zhang Shuai, who’s 36 years old (that’s pretty experienced in tennis!), teamed up with Russia’s Ekaterina Alexandrova in the women’s doubles. Together, they played against two players from Ukraine named Nadiia Kichenok and Yuliia Starodubtseva.

Guess what? Zhang and Alexandrova won the match 7-5, 6-2! That means they move on to the next round, called the last 32. πŸŽ‰

Zhang said, “She (Alexandrova) is a fantastic singles player, so she’s great at many things on the court. We worked really well together, and I hope we keep playing great!”

Jiang Xinyu and Wu Fang-Hsien Team Up! 🀝

Another exciting team was Jiang Xinyu from China and Wu Fang-Hsien from Chinese Taipei. They played against Zhu Lin and Tang Qianhui from China.

Jiang and Wu are ranked 12th in the tournament, which is pretty high! They played super well and won 6-4, 6-4, moving on to the next round. πŸ’ͺ

Tough Luck for Wang Xinyu and Zheng Saisai πŸ˜“

Not all matches went China’s way. Wang Xinyu and Zheng Saisai played against the second-seeded team, Gabriela Dabrowski from Canada and Erin Routliffe from New Zealand.

Wang and Zheng fought hard but lost 6-1, 6-4. But hey, they’re still awesome players, and there’s always next time!

Cheer Them On! πŸ“£

These athletes train super hard to play at tournaments like Wimbledon. Let’s cheer them on as they continue their journey! Maybe one day, if you love tennis, you could be on those famous grass courts too! πŸŽΎπŸ†
