Exciting news from Chengdu, China! The Chinese table tennis team has just won their third match in a row at the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Mixed Team World Cup. This time, they beat the USA with a score of 8-1! 🎉
First up, Lin Shidong and Wang Yidi teamed up for the mixed doubles match. They played against the USA’s Kayla Goodwin and Nandan Naresh. With scores of 11-3, 11-7, and 11-8, China took an early lead!
Next, in the women’s singles match, World No. 1 Sun Yingsha faced Jessica Reyes Lai. Sun played brilliantly and won 11-6, 11-2, 11-3. That’s another win for China!
Then came the men’s singles match. Lin Shidong, who is only 19 years old and already ranked World No. 2, played against Sid Naresh. Lin lost the first game 9-11, but he didn’t give up! He came back strong, winning the next two games 11-4 and 11-2. Way to go, Lin! 🙌
