In the men’s singles, Wang Chuqin, the defending champion, played against Truls Moregard from Sweden. Wang played really well and won the match 3-1! He said, “I approached this match as a challenger.” Now, he will play against Darko Jorgic from Slovenia in the semifinals.

Lin Shidong Moves Forward πŸš€

Lin Shidong, who is ranked number 2 in the world, defeated Qiu Dang from Germany in straight sets, 3-0! Lin showed great skill and determination. He will face Tomokazu Harimoto from Japan next. Lin said, “I’ll prepare for a tough battle and give it my all.”

Chinese Women Shine 🌟

In the women’s singles, Wang Yidi and Chen Xingtong both won their matches against Japanese players Miwa Harimoto and Miu Hirano. They will face each other in the semifinals, which means at least one Chinese player will be in the final! How cool is that?
