Hey there, future champions! ๐
Exciting news from Lima, Peru! China’s amazing shooter, Sun Yujie, has won the gold medal in the women’s 25-meter pistol event at the ISSF World Cup! ๐ฏ This is her second gold medal this year! Isn’t that incredible?
Sun’s victory helped the Chinese shooting team finish the competition with a total of 4 gold, 3 silver, and 6 bronze medals. That’s a lot of medals! ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
In the final round, Sun faced tough competition from India’s talented shooters. She and her teammate, Yao Qianxun, were super focused and hit 11 out of 15 targets! Thatโs like getting 11 high scores out of 15 tries in your favorite video game! ๐ฎ
Another Chinese shooter, Zu Pengwen, did her best but was eliminated early, finishing in eighth place.
As the competition heated up, Sun and Yao were up against India’s Simranpreet Kaur Brar and Manu Bhaker. It was a close match! In the end, Sun won by just one shot over Brar. Imagine winning by just one point! Yao also did great and took a strong position in the rankings.
The next stop for these amazing athletes is Munich, Germany, in June. Let’s cheer them on! ๐
Maybe one day, you’ll be inspired to try out sports like shooting, archery, or anything else you love. Who knows? You could be the next champion! ๐คฉ
