Former World No. 1 Wang Chuqin had a fantastic match against Alexis Lebrun from France. They played three exciting games, and Wang won them all! The scores were 11-8, 13-11, and 11-6.
In the first game, both players were super aggressive. Wang took the lead, but Lebrun fought back with some amazing shots. In the end, Wang clinched the game 11-8.
The second game was a nail-biter! Wang was leading 9-5, but Lebrun caught up. It was 11-11, but Wang pulled through and won 13-11. Talk about intense! ๐ฎ
In the third game, they were tied at 4-4, but Wang kept his cool and won 11-6. With this victory, Wang moves on to the quarterfinals, where he’ll face Truls Moregard from Sweden.
Chen Xingtong Shines ๐
On the women’s side, Chen Xingtong played against Shin Yu-bin from South Korea. It was a tough match, but Chen showed her skill and advanced to the quarterfinals!
The first game was super close, ending at 12-10 in favor of Chen. In the second game, they were tied at 8-8. After a timeout, Chen surged ahead to win 11-8.
The third game was all Chen! She raced to an 8-0 lead and won 11-1. Now she’s moving on to play against her teammate Kuai Man.
