Hey tennis fans! 🎾

China’s Zhang Shuai and France’s Kristina Mladenovic have made it to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open doubles! Isn’t that exciting? 🙌

At first, things didn’t look so good. They were losing 4-0 in the first set! 😱 But guess what? They didn’t give up. They fought back and turned the game around, winning the match 7-6, 6-2! How amazing is that?

They beat the fifth seeds, Chan Hao-Ching from Chinese Taipei and Lyudmyla Kichenok from Ukraine. It took them one hour and 43 minutes of intense playing to secure their spot in the last eight.

In the next round, Zhang and Mladenovic will face the top seeds, Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend, who are known for their strong performance. Zhang said they are “the best team” in the tournament so far, and she and Mladenovic are excited to “enjoy every moment” of the match.

But that’s not all! Other Chinese players were in action too. Zheng Saisai and Wang Xinyu played a tough match but were knocked out after a close battle. They played against Kamilla Rakhimova from Russia and Sara Sorribes Tormo from Spain. Even though they didn’t win, they showed great skill and determination! 💪
