Massive Winter Storm Sweeps Across Southern US ❄️
Hey everyone! Have you heard about the huge winter storm hitting the southern United States? It’s being called a “once-in-a-generation” storm! 😮
From Texas to Florida, places that usually enjoy warm weather are now covered in snow and ice. Roads have become super slippery, making it hard for cars to drive safely. Schools, shops, and even restaurants are closed, and people are staying indoors to keep warm.
The National Weather Service said that up to 235 million people are affected! That’s a lot of folks dealing with chilly temperatures and snowy weather.
In Texas, cities like Houston saw up to 15 centimeters (about 6 inches) of snow! Even the beaches had snow on them. Can you imagine building a snowman on the beach? ⛄🏖️
Airports had to cancel over 2,100 flights because of the bad weather, so lots of people had to change their travel plans.
Governors in states like Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi have declared emergencies to help people stay safe during this unusual storm.
If you’re in one of these areas, make sure to stay warm, stay indoors, and maybe enjoy some hot chocolate and family games! ☕🎲
Stay safe and cozy! ❤️
