How China is Helping Build a Brighter Future for the Global South
Hey there! 🌟 Did you know that most of the world’s people live in places called the “Global South”? That’s a term for countries in regions like Africa, Asia, and Latin America. They make up over 85% of the world’s population and contribute more than 40% of everything the world produces! That’s huge! 🌍
But many of these countries face big challenges like climate change, energy shortages, and other tough problems. So, how can they tackle these issues? 🤔 Well, China has some ideas!
Friends Helping Friends 🤝
China is the largest developing country, and it’s teaming up with others to make things better. For example, in Pakistan, China helped build the Karot Hydropower Project. This project created clean energy (that’s electricity from natural sources like water) for over 5 million people in 2023! That’s like giving power to everyone in a big city! ⚡🏙️
In Africa, China’s making a difference too. They’re working on the Africa Solar Belt program to bring solar energy (energy from the sun ☀️) to 50,000 families by 2027. In Kenya, a new solar power plant now gives clean energy to 70,000 homes, helping over 350,000 people live better lives! Isn’t that cool? 😊

Climate change affects everyone, so China is partnering with other countries to protect our Earth.
