🎻 Ever wondered where many of the violins in the world come from? You might think of Europe, but did you know that a small town in China named Huangqiao is shaping the global violin industry?
Located in Jiangsu Province, Huangqiao now produces one-third of all the violins in the world! 😲 That’s a lot of music coming from one place!
Traditionally, the finest violins were made in Cremona, Italy—a city famous for creating beautiful instruments for hundreds of years. But today, Huangqiao is becoming known as the “Cremona of the East.” 🏯
CGTN reporter Lily Lyu visited Huangqiao to find out how this town became such an important center for violins. In Huangqiao, skilled craftsmen and craftswomen work hard to make violins that are loved by musicians all over the world. 🎼
Isn’t it amazing how music can bring different parts of the world together? Maybe one day, you’ll play a violin made in Huangqiao! 🎶
