Chinese President Xi Jinping Sends New Year Wishes to US Students! π
Hey everyone! Guess what? Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife, Peng Liyuan, have sent a special New Year card to students and teachers in Washington State, USA! How awesome is that? π¨π³πΊπΈ
In their card, President Xi and Madame Peng shared warm wishes for the New Year. They reminded everyone that in 2025, it will be 80 years since the end of World War II. Did you know that during that war, China and the United States were allies? That means they worked together for peace and justice! βοΈπ
They also have big hopes for the future. President Xi and Madame Peng want young people from China and the US (that’s you!) to keep visiting each other’s countries. China has invited 50,000 young Americans to come and learn in China over five years! That’s a lot of new friends to make! π€
Earlier, teachers and students from Lincoln High School and Stadium High School in Washington State sent their own New Year card to President Xi, Madame Peng, and the Chinese people. Over 100 teachers and students signed it! They even wrote in Chinese to wish everyone a Happy New Year and everlasting friendship between the US and China. Isn’t that amazing? πβ€οΈ
It’s super important for kids like us to learn about each other, share our cultures, and build friendships across the world. Maybe one day, you’ll get a chance to visit China or make a friend from there! Wouldn’t that be an adventure? πβοΈ
So, as we start the New Year, let’s remember how special it is when countries work together and people make new friends. Happy New Year to everyone! ζ°εΉ΄εΏ«δΉ! (That’s “Happy New Year” in Chinese!) ππ
