President Xi Jinping Supports Macao’s New Chief Executive!
Hey there! Have you heard the news from China? President Xi Jinping met with Sam Hou Fai, the new chief executive (that’s like the head leader) of Macao. 🎉
Macao is a special place in China called the Macao Special Administrative Region (or Macao SAR for short). It’s a bit like how states or provinces are special parts of a country.
President Xi told everyone that he believes Sam Hou Fai will do a great job leading Macao. He trusts that Sam will help the people of Macao work together and make their home even better! 😊
They talked about something called “One Country, Two Systems.” That’s a way for Macao to be part of China but still have its own rules and a high degree of autonomy (which means they can make many of their own decisions). Isn’t that interesting?
President Xi said he’s sure that Macao will keep China safe and work on growing the economy (that’s all about money and jobs!) and making sure people are happy and healthy. He also thinks Macao can share and work together with other countries and regions around the world. 🌏
