President Xi Jinping’s Exciting Visit to Macau University π
Guess who visited the Macau University of Science and Technology this Thursday? It was President Xi Jinping of China! π¨π³
President Xi, who is also the leader of the Communist Party of China, came to see some amazing things happening at the university. He learned about two super cool laboratories:
- Traditional Chinese Medicine Lab: This lab studies the quality of traditional Chinese medicine, which is like ancient remedies and treatments used for thousands of years! πΏ
- Lunar and Planetary Science Lab: Here, scientists study the Moon and other planets. How awesome is that? ππ
He chatted with teachers, students, and researchers. President Xi was impressed with how Macao (that’s how you spell it in Portuguese!) is combining education with helping the community grow. He encouraged the idea that “Education strengthens Macao, and talent builds Macao.”
At the Traditional Chinese Medicine lab, he said that this ancient knowledge is a treasure of Chinese civilization and it’s important to keep it alive and find new ways to use it. At the space lab, he talked about how exploring the Moon shows the hard work and smarts of Chinese scientists and engineers.
When visiting the university’s library, President Xi asked students about their studies and daily lives. He told them to make the most of their time learning, soak up knowledge like sponges π§½, and use online resources to help with their studies and research.
He was happy to see how vibrant and confident everyone was. President Xi emphasized that education is super important and that students should aim high, keep up with the times, and work hard to achieve their dreams!
Isn’t it inspiring to see leaders encouraging education and science? Who knows, maybe one day you’ll be studying at a university like this or even visiting the Moon! πβ¨
