Hey friends! Did you hear the news from Brazil? 🇧🇷 Their President, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (most people call him President Lula), just had a successful brain surgery! 😊
Earlier this week, President Lula had a headache while he was in Brasília, the capital of Brazil. The doctors found out that he had some bleeding in his brain caused by a fall he had in late October. He slipped in the bathroom at his home. 😮
On Tuesday, the doctors did a surgery to drain the blood and help him feel better. Then, on Thursday, they did another procedure to make sure the bleeding doesn’t happen again. This procedure is called middle meningeal artery embolization. That’s a big term, but it basically means they fixed a blood vessel in his brain to prevent future bleeding. 🩺
The good news is that the operation was a success! The doctors said President Lula is awake and talking. They expect him to leave the hospital next week. Isn’t that great? 🎉
