Chinese Snowboarders Cai Xuetong and Wu Shaotong Soar into World Cup Finals!

Hey snowboarding fans! ๐Ÿ‚ Great news from the snowy slopes of Genting Snow Park in China! Two amazing Chinese snowboarders, Cai Xuetong and Wu Shaotong, have zoomed into the finals of the FIS Snowboard Halfpipe World Cup! ๐ŸŽ‰

What’s the FIS Snowboard Halfpipe World Cup? ๐Ÿค” It’s one of the coolest competitions where snowboarders perform awesome tricks on a halfpipe, which is like a big curved ramp shaped like a pipe cut in half. They fly high and do flips and spinsโ€”it’s super exciting to watch!

Cai Xuetong, a 31-year-old veteran and Olympian, wowed the judges with her first run, scoring an impressive 87.75 points! ๐ŸŒŸ She came in third place in the qualifiers, just behind 15-year-old Sara Shimizu from Japan and Madeline Schaffrick from the USA.

“I’m really excited about the start of this season,” Cai said with a big smile. ๐Ÿ˜Š “I enjoy my time on the course. I’ll present higher difficulty in the final!” She’s also super thrilled about the 2025 Asian Winter Games in her hometown, Harbin, China. ๐ŸŽฟ

Another Chinese star, Wu Shaotong, nailed her second run and scored 78.50 points, grabbing the seventh spot and securing her place in the finals! ๐Ÿ… “I felt a little bit nervous today since this is the very first competition of this season,” Wu shared. “I’ll try my best with higher difficulty in the final.”
