Tragedy Strikes in Gaza
On Sunday, many people in Gaza were trying to get food and help for their families. Sadly, as they were waiting, 93 people were killed, and many more were hurt. 😢
The Gaza civil defense agency says that Israeli forces opened fire on these people as they tried to collect aid. Israel’s army says they fired warning shots because they felt threatened.
The United Nations (UN) is very worried about what’s happening. They say that almost 800 people have died trying to get aid since May.
Getting help to people in Gaza is very hard right now. The UN says that nearly 90% of Gaza is under orders to move or is in military zones, making it unsafe for many families.
The head of a UN agency in Israel, who spoke out about the problems in Gaza, had his permission to stay taken away by Israel.
Everyone hopes that the fighting will stop soon so that people can get the help they need. Many families are scared and need food, water, and a safe place to stay. 🕊️🙏
