Hey there! Did you know that China and Mauritania have been friends for 60 years? 🎈 On Saturday, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani sent special messages to each other to celebrate this big anniversary!
Over the past six decades, these two countries have worked together and helped each other. President Xi said that even though the world has changed a lot, China and Mauritania have always respected each other and treated each other like equals.
Lately, their friendship has grown even stronger! They’ve been teaming up in many areas and trusting each other more and more.
At the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Beijing, Presidents Xi and Ghazouani met and decided to make their relationship a “strategic partnership.” That’s like taking their friendship to the next level! 😊
President Xi said that China really values its relationship with Mauritania and wants to work together to make the future even brighter for both countries.
President Ghazouani agreed and said that the strong friendship between China and Mauritania will help both nations become happier and more successful.
On the same day, Chinese Premier Li Qiang also shared warm messages with Mauritania’s Prime Minister Mokhtar Ould Diay. They both want to keep working together and make their countries’ partnership even stronger.
