Experience the Magic of Tea at Beijing’s Big Tea Expo! 🍵✨
Imagine a place where you can taste delicious teas, see beautiful teacups, and join fun activities—all in one spot! That’s exactly what happened at the Beijing International Tea Trade Expo 2025 held in early July.
The expo brought together the best tea makers from all over the Chinese mainland. Kids, teens, and grown-ups explored the amazing world of tea culture. But wait, it wasn’t just about sipping tea!
Teaware Treasures 🏺
Visitors were wowed by the stunning teaware on display. Fancy teapots and cups showed off the beauty of Eastern art. It was like stepping into a gallery filled with shiny, colorful teacups!
Discover Shoushan Stone 🗿
Have you heard of Shoushan Stone? It’s one of China’s “Four Great Seal Stones” and comes from Fujian Province. At the expo, people saw amazing decorations made from this special stone. The stones have vibrant colors and cool patterns that have been loved for centuries!
Fun Activities Galore! 🎉
The expo wasn’t just about looking—it was about doing! There was a fashion show featuring the qipao (also known as cheongsam), a traditional Chinese dress made from Xiangyunsha. That’s a unique silk dyed with natural plants. How cool is that?
Plus, there were tea gatherings styled like the Song Dynasty (which was over 700 years ago!) and even a tea ceremony just for kids. It felt like traveling back in time!
A Visitor’s Delight 😊
Ms. Li, who came from Beijing’s Xicheng District with her child, said, “I just wanted my kid to experience tea culture, but I ended up loving the beautiful teaware and the fun tea ceremony for children!” She bought a new teacup and some tea to take home.
“Trying tea in person and doing hands-on activities here is so much more exciting than just looking online!” she added.
Why Tea Culture is Awesome! 🌟
Tea isn’t just a drink—it’s a big part of Chinese history and culture. Events like the Tea Expo help everyone, especially kids and teens, learn and appreciate this amazing tradition.
So, next time you sip on some tea or see a fancy teacup, remember there’s a whole world of fun and culture behind it!
