Hey friends! 👋 Did you hear the news? The United Nations 🌐 is continuing its support to the people of Haiti until 2026!
But what’s happening in Haiti, and how is the UN helping? Let’s find out together!
The United Nations Security Council (that’s like a group of countries working together to keep peace in the world) just decided to extend the work of a special team in Haiti called the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti, or BINUH for short.
BINUH is there to help Haiti with important things like making sure everyone is safe, supporting fair government, and helping the country grow stronger.
By extending BINUH‘s mission until January 31, 2026, the UN is saying, “We are here to help you, Haiti!” 🌟
