Hey everyone! Guess what? China is stepping up to help people affected by floods and typhoons! They’ve set aside 150 million yuan (that’s about $21 million!) from their natural disaster relief fund.
Why is this happening? π€ Well, it’s the main flood season in China, and some regions have been hit hard by heavy rains, floods, and even typhoons. A typhoon called Danas, the fourth one this year, caused big storms in southeastern coastal areas.
The money will go to six regions: Zhejiang, Fujian, Sichuan, Chongqing, the Xizang Autonomous Region, and Gansu. These places have faced floods, landslides, and other natural disasters.
How will the money help? π‘ It will be used for:
- Rescue operations: Helping people who might be trapped or in danger.
- Providing shelter: Offering safe places for people who’ve lost their homes.
- Repairing homes: Fixing houses that were damaged.
- Watching for more dangers: Keeping an eye out for things like landslides.
It’s awesome to see communities coming together to help each other out! π
