World Cultures Come Together at the 11th Nishan Forum in China π
Hey everyone! Have you heard about the 11th Nishan Forum on World Civilizations? It’s a big event happening in Qufu, a city in east China’s Shandong Province. Scholars (that’s a fancy word for experts and teachers) from all over the world are coming together to talk about different cultures and how they can work together in our modern world!
This year’s theme is “Beauty in Diversity: Nurturing Understanding Among Civilizations for Global Modernization.” That means they are celebrating how different cultures make the world a more interesting and better place!
Over 500 guests are attending, including more than 300 international participants from over 70 countries! π² That’s a lot of people coming together to share ideas and learn from each other.
Some important guests spoke at the opening ceremony, like Mr. Hussain Mohamed Latheef, the Vice President of the Republic of Maldives, Mr. Chhem Kieth Rethy, a Senior Minister from Cambodia, and Mr. Jean Louis Robinson Richard, the Ambassador of Madagascar to China. They all talked about how important it is for different cultures to understand each other and work together for a peaceful world.
One of the places they’re meeting is near Nishan Mountain, which is special because it’s the birthplace of Confucius. Confucius was a very famous Chinese teacher and thinker from a long time ago! He taught about kindness, respect, and learning, which are ideas still important today.
The forum has lots of interesting topics, like how ancient cultures can help us today, how technology like AI (that’s artificial intelligence π€) is changing our world, and how families and societies can grow together.
It’s pretty cool to see so many people from different places working together to make the world a better place, don’t you think? π
What do you think makes your culture special? How can we learn from others to make our world happier and more connected? Share your thoughts!
