Ancient Greece comes to China in landmark show at Sanxingdui Museum

Explore Ancient Greece at China’s Sanxingdui Museum!

Hey history buffs! ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Have you ever wondered what life was like in Ancient Greece? Well, now you can find out without traveling all the way to Europe!

Starting from July 7, the Sanxingdui Museum in Sichuan Province is hosting a super cool exhibition called “A Journey to Ancient Greece: Archaeological Explorations”. It’s like a time machine taking you back thousands of years!

You can see 172 rare artifacts from Greece, including pottery, bronze items, shiny gold objects, marble statues, and beautiful frescoes (that’s like ancient wall paintings ๐ŸŽจ). Some of these treasures have never been shown outside Greece before!

This exhibition is extra special because it’s the museum’s first international showcase since opening its new wing. It’s also the first time the museum is teaming up with Greece’s Ministry of Culture. How awesome is that?

But wait, there’s more! Alongside the exhibition, there will be fun lectures and interactive events. You can learn even more about ancient history and maybe even try some activities yourself!

The exhibition runs until December 21, so there’s plenty of time to convince your parents or teachers to take you. Don’t miss this chance to dive into the world of Ancient Greece right here in China! ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ท
