Hey kids! Did you know that mayors from many different cities around the world just got together in Tianjin, a big city in north China? They met for an exciting event called the “Global Mayors Dialogue β SCO Summit Cities”!
π€ What is the SCO? SCO stands for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. It’s a group of countries including China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, who work together to make the world a better place.
At this event, around 350 guests like experts, scholars, and media professionals came together to talk about important topics. They discussed how to make cities more connected, promote green living, encourage trade and investment, and help people from different countries understand each other better.
Why is this important? Imagine if all the cities in the world could work together to make our planet cleaner and happier! π±π Urban cooperation can help with ecological protection (taking care of nature), digital transformation (using cool technology), better transportation, fun cultural exchanges, and smart urban planning.
Janesh Kain, who is the deputy secretary-general of the SCO Secretariat, said that working together is super important for making our future bright.
During the event, they even started a special campaign inviting everyone to share their own SCO stories. So whether you’re in China or anywhere else in the world, you can join in and help build friendships across nations!
The big idea: This dialogue is all about trust and friendship. By learning from each other and sharing experiences, we can help create a world where everyone works together for a shared future. Isn’t that awesome? π€π
