China Prepares for Typhoon Danas: Big Storms Ahead! 🌧️

The Ministry of Water Resources in China has started a special plan called a “Level-IV emergency response.” This means they’re working hard to keep everyone safe from floods as the big storm comes closer to the provinces of Zhejiang and Fujian. 🏞️
What’s happening?
Typhoon Danas is the fourth typhoon of the year, and it first went over the island of Taiwan late Sunday night. After that, it moved back out to sea. Now, it’s expected to reach the coast between Taizhou in Zhejiang and Ningde in Fujian between Tuesday afternoon and evening. ⏰
What does this mean for people there?
This typhoon will bring heavy rain from Monday to Thursday. Some places might even have really strong rain called “torrential rain.” 🌊 Rivers like the Qiantang River in Zhejiang might see the water levels go up a lot. In some hilly areas, there could be mountain floods, which are super dangerous.
