Imagine not seeing your dad for almost 70 years! This is the true story of Yan Dingzhao, an 82-year-old man who never gave up on his father.
Back in 1949, when Dingzhao was just a young boy, his father, Yan Luoguo, was taken from their home on Dongshan Island. The Kuomintang army needed more soldiers, and they conscripted him. He was sent across the sea to Taiwan, and sadly, he never returned home.
For many years, the family had no idea what happened to Luoguo. Then, in 1983, they received the heartbreaking news that he had passed away. Even though his father was gone, Dingzhao didn’t forget him.
🌟 Fast forward to 2018: At 82 years old, Dingzhao finally had the chance to go to Penghu, an island near Taiwan. There, he found his father’s remains. With a heart full of love and relief, he brought his dad back home to Dongshan Island for a proper burial.
