😢 Early Thursday morning, a passenger ship sank in the Bali Strait in Indonesia. At least five people have sadly lost their lives, and many more are missing.
The Bali Strait is a narrow stretch of water between the islands of Java and Bali. Ships often travel this route to carry people and goods.
Rescue teams are working hard to find survivors. Two people have been rescued and are being cared for at Jembrana General Hospital in Bali. Four others who didn’t survive have also been brought to the hospital.
Families are gathering at the hospital, hoping to find their loved ones. It’s a very difficult time for them, and they are waiting for news with heavy hearts.
Tholeb Vatelehan, a senior official from the East Java Search and Rescue Office, said that they are doing everything they can to find the missing passengers.
