Hey there! Have you ever had a friend you didn’t understand at first? Well, sometimes countries feel that way too. Recently, China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, met with leaders from the European Union (that’s a group of countries in Europe) to talk about being better friends.
Wang Yi suggested that the EU should try to see China in a fair and clear way. He thinks that even though China and the EU are different in some ways, they can still work together and help each other out!
They talked about how important it is to be partners, not opponents. That means they should help each other instead of competing all the time. With so many things happening in the world, like big problems and changes, it’s super important for countries to stick together.
The EU leaders agreed that they want to understand China better. They want to have honest talks and make sure they are fair when trading and doing business.
They also chatted about other important topics, like what’s happening in Ukraine and the Middle East. By talking and listening to each other, they hope to make the world a better place!
Isn’t it cool when people (and countries!) come together to solve problems? 🌍
