Indonesian President Orders Quick Rescue After Ferry Tragedy 🚒

On Wednesday night, a ferry named Tunu Pratama Jaya was sailing between Java Island and Bali when it faced severe weather in the Bali Strait. Unfortunately, the ferry sank! 😒 It was carrying 53 passengers, 12 crew members, and about a dozen vehicles.

When Indonesian President Joko Widodo (also known as President Jokowi) heard about the accident, he immediately ordered the National Search and Rescue Agency, called Basarnas, to rescue everyone as quickly as possible. He said that saving lives is the most important thing right now.

Teams from both Bali and East Java have joined together to search for survivors. It’s a big effort because the accident happened near the border between these two regions. So far, 31 people have been found alive! πŸŽ‰ But sadly, 4 people have died, and 30 are still missing. πŸ˜”
