NBA: China's Yang Hansen officially signs with Portland Trail Blazers

China’s Yang Hansen Joins the Portland Trail Blazers! πŸ€

Hey basketball fans! πŸ€ Guess what? China’s basketball star Yang Hansen has officially joined the Portland Trail Blazers! πŸŽ‰

Yang Hansen, who is 20 years old and stands tall at 7 feet 2 inches (that’s really tall! 🌟), was picked by the Trail Blazers in this year’s NBA Draft. The NBA Draft is when teams choose new players to join them, kind of like picking teams in school, but way bigger!

Before coming to the NBA, Yang played in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) for the Qingdao Eagles. He was amazing there, averaging 15.8 points (that’s how many times he scored), 10.7 rebounds (that’s when you catch the ball after someone misses a shot), and 2.4 blocks per game (that’s stopping the other team from scoring!). He even won the Defensive Player of the Year award! πŸ…

Now, he’s taking his talents to the NBA, where he’ll play with and against some of the best basketball players in the world. The Trail Blazers are super excited to have him on their team. Their coach, Chauncey Billups, said, “He’s been taught the right way, so I’m really excited about him!”

Yang Hansen is only the third player from China to be picked in the first round of the NBA Draft, after Yao Ming and Yi Jianlian. Isn’t that cool? 😎 He’s following in the footsteps of some great players.

In Portland, Yang will be working hard to help his team win games. He’ll be playing alongside other talented players and learning so much. Who knows, maybe we’ll see him become an NBA superstar! 🌠

So, keep an eye out for Yang Hansen when you watch NBA games. Maybe you’ll see him make an awesome dunk or block a shot! Let’s cheer him on and wish him the best of luck! 🎊
