Leaders and friends from some of the biggest countries in the world met up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to talk about making our world a better place! 🌍
The event was called the 2025 BRICS Seminar on Governance and Cultural Exchanges Forum. But what’s BRICS, you ask? Great question! BRICS stands for Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—five important countries that work together on big ideas and projects.
Over 120 representatives from countries like China, Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa, Egypt, and Indonesia came together on Monday to talk about how they can bring stability and certainty to our fast-changing world. Isn’t that amazing? 🤩
They discussed how, with BRICS becoming even bigger and better, they can have a stronger voice in the world. They called it ‘Big BRICS cooperation’! 🧱🧱🧱
Everyone was super appreciative of the Chinese mainland for its great contributions to global development and helping other countries, especially in the Global South. They said China’s ideas are helping everyone work together in development, keeping safe, and sharing cultures! 🎎
The forum wasn’t just about talking, though. There was a cool photo exhibition showing different cultures, and they even released two reports about how BRICS countries can work together more.
This awesome event was organized by some important groups, including the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, China International Communications Group, and Brazil’s National Institute of Geography and Statistics.
