China Invests Billions to Protect Its ‘Mother Rivers’ 🌊

Hey there! Did you know that China has two very important rivers called the Yangtze River and the Yellow River? They’re often called China’s “mother rivers” because they’ve been super important to Chinese people for thousands of years!

Recently, a big bank in China called the Agricultural Development Bank of China decided to help protect these rivers. Since 2021, they’ve given out loans totaling about 2.7 trillion yuan—that’s around $376.7 billion! That’s a lot of money! 💰

This money is being used to keep the rivers clean and healthy. Specifically, about 2.09 trillion yuan is for the Yangtze River, and 605.2 billion yuan is for the Yellow River. The bank is focusing on important areas like making sure there’s enough clean water, improving transportation, helping the countryside grow, and making sure there’s enough food.

China also has new plans to make the rivers even better by 2035. They want to prevent floods, use water wisely, make sure people in cities and villages have enough water, and keep the river ecosystems healthy. 🌱

The goal is to save water, build a society that respects and conserves water, and encourage everyone to use water carefully. Pretty cool, right?

These rivers aren’t just big—they’re a big part of China’s history and culture. Protecting them helps everyone! 🌎
