Chinese Basketball Star Yang Hansen Joins Portland Trail Blazers in NBA Draft! ππ
Hey basketball fans! Guess what? There’s a new superstar heading to the NBA! π
Yang Hansen, a 7-foot-1 (that’s really tall! π) basketball player from the Chinese mainland, has been drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers as the 16th overall pick in the NBA Draft! How exciting is that? π
Yang is only 20 years old, and he’s already making history. He is just the third player from the Chinese mainland to be picked in the first round of the NBA Draft. The other two were Yao Ming in 2002 and Yi Jianlian in 2007. Pretty cool company, right? π
Over the past month, Yang traveled all over the United States, showing off his amazing skills to 14 different NBA teams. He impressed coaches and scouts from teams like the Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks, Indiana Pacers, Golden State Warriors, and Los Angeles Clippers. That’s a lot of teams! ππ
What makes Yang so special? Well, not only is he super tall, but he’s also really athletic and smart on the court. He can pass the ball beautifully, run fast, jump high, and make awesome plays. He can even shoot jump shots! πͺπ―
Last season, Yang played in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) for the Qingdao Eagles. He averaged 16.6 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game. That means he scored a lot, grabbed a lot of rebounds, and blocked other players’ shots! He was the leader of his team and helped them reach the playoffs. He was also named to the All-CBA Team and won the Top Young Rising Star award for the second year in a row! π π
Yang’s draft selection happened on his 20th birthday, making it an extra special day for him. Now, fans all around the world will be watching as he starts his journey in the NBA. Will he become the next big star? Only time will tell, but we can’t wait to see him play! ππ
Congratulations, Yang Hansen! We’re cheering for you! ππ
