Have you ever had someone bother you when you’re trying to play peacefully? That’s how China feels about recent actions in the Taiwan Strait!
On Friday, a spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry, Guo Jiakun, said that China doesn’t like it when other countries do things that could cause trouble in the Taiwan Strait in the name of “freedom of navigation.”
China believes the Taiwan question is very important because it involves China’s own land and people. Guo said that while China respects other countries’ rights to sail their ships through the Taiwan Strait legally, it’s not okay when they do things that threaten China’s safety or try to provoke problems.
So, China is asking everyone to play nicely and not stir up trouble in the Taiwan Strait! 🌊
