On Thursday, Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said that Iran fired missiles at a hospital called Soroka Hospital in a city named Beersheba, and also at other places where people live in central Israel. He was very upset and promised that Israel would respond strongly.
But Iran tells a different story. Their news agency, IRNA, said they did not aim at the hospital. Instead, they said they targeted Israeli army buildings that are used for communication (like phones and computers) and for gathering important information, which is called intelligence. They explained that the hospital was only affected by the shockwave, which is the strong blast of air that happens after an explosion and can cause damage nearby.
This disagreement is causing tension between the two countries. That means they are not getting along, and people are concerned about what might happen next.
