Hey everyone! π
Guess what? On Wednesday night, a big rocket from SpaceX called Starship had a bit of an oopsie in Texas! ππ₯
At about 11 p.m., while Starship was being tested at SpaceX’s launch site, something unexpected happened, and the rocket exploded, lighting up the night sky!
But here’s the good news: Nobody was hurt! π
SpaceX said that the Starship “experienced a major anomaly”βwhich is a fancy way of saying something went wrong that they didn’t expect.
They made sure everyone was safe by keeping a clear area around the site. They also let people know on X (that’s the new name for Twitter) that there were no dangers to the communities nearby. They asked people not to go near the site, just to be safe.
Now, SpaceX is working with local officials to figure out what happened. Testing rockets is super important so we can explore space safely in the future! π°οΈ
Even when things don’t go as planned, scientists learn a lot from these tests. Who knows? Maybe one day you could help build rockets too! π
