Hey everyone! π
Big news from China! The country has issued new weather alerts because of heavy rainstorms and super high temperatures in some areas. Let’s find out what’s happening!
Rainstorms on the Way! π§οΈ
The National Meteorological Center (NMC) of China has warned that from Tuesday to Wednesday, there will be heavy rain in parts of Guangdong, Guangxi, and Sichuan. In some places, the rain could be so heavy that it pours more than 70 millimeters in just one hour! That’s like dumping a big bucket of water from the sky! These rainstorms might also bring thunderstorms and strong winds called gales.
Local authorities are making sure everything is ready. They are checking drainage systems in cities, farms, and fishponds to prevent floods. It’s important to be prepared when big storms are coming!
Feeling the Heat! π₯
But that’s not all! The NMC has also issued a yellow alert for high temperatures in many regions. In parts of northern China, along the Yellow, Huaihe, Hanjiang, and Yangtze rivers, and in areas of the northwest and southwest, the temperature could soar between 35 and 39 degrees Celsius (that’s really hot!). In places like Hebei, Henan, and the Turpan Basin in Xinjiang, the temperatures might even go over 40 degrees Celsius!
People are being advised to protect themselves from the sun. That means wearing hats, drinking plenty of water, and staying in the shade whenever possible.
China’s Weather Warning System π¦
Did you know that China has a special system to warn people about severe weather? It’s a four-tier system with colors: red is the most serious, followed by orange, yellow, and blue. Right now, there’s a blue alert for rainstorms and a yellow alert for high temperatures.
Stay Safe and Cool! π
If you live in these areas or know someone who does, make sure to stay safe! Keep an eye on the weather reports, and take care of yourself and others. Whether it’s staying dry during the rain or keeping cool in the heat, we can all help by being prepared.
