Iran Says Talking to U.S. Is \”Meaningless\” After Attack
Hi everyone! Let’s talk about a big news story happening in the world 🌍.
Recently, Iran, a country in the Middle East, said that it’s not interested in talking to the United States 🇺🇸 about its nuclear program anymore. Why? Because Israel 🇮🇱, another country in the region, carried out a big military attack.
Iran is upset because they believe the U.S. supported Israel in this attack. Iran’s spokesperson said that it’s \”meaningless\” to have discussions while the U.S. allows Israel to target Iran.
The U.S., however, says it did not support the attack and thinks it would be wise for Iran to keep talking about its nuclear program.
What’s the nuclear program all about? Well, Iran has been working on enriching uranium, which can be used for nuclear energy ⚡ or, potentially, nuclear weapons 💣. Iran says it’s only for peaceful purposes, like making electricity. But some countries, like Israel, worry that Iran might be trying to make weapons.
There were supposed to be talks between Iran and the U.S. about this issue, but now it’s unclear if these meetings will happen.
Even though things are tense, U.S. President Donald Trump said he still sees a chance for a deal.
It’s a developing story, and people around the world are watching closely 👀.
