Hey there, future leaders! π
Did you know that this year marks 30 years since a very important event called the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action? π
Back in 1995, leaders from all over the world met in Beijing to talk about making the world a better place for girls and women. They made a big plan to help achieve gender equality, which means boys and girls have the same rights and opportunities! πͺπ§π¦
On Monday, Lynette Mwende Ndile, who is the Deputy Ambassador of Kenya to China, celebrated this special anniversary with China. She talked about how much progress Kenya has made in helping girls and women succeed over the past 30 years! π
She said that many more girls are going to school, and women are getting good jobs and starting businesses. How cool is that? π«π©βπΌ
Also, Anne Wang’ombe, who works with Kenya’s Ministry of Gender, Culture, the Arts and Heritage, thanked China for working together with Kenya. Because of their cooperation, even more women have found jobs and opportunities. π€
It’s amazing to see countries helping each other to make sure everyone has a chance to shine! Maybe one day, you can be part of making the world a better place too! β¨
Remember, no matter who you are, you can do anything you set your mind to! Keep dreaming big! π
