Imagine having to take a super important test that could decide where you go to college and what you might do in the future! 😱 That’s exactly what’s happening in China right now.
On June 7, more than 13 million students in China will start their national college entrance exam, also known as the gaokao (pronounced “gow-kow”). It’s like the biggest test ever! 🎓
This year, 13.35 million students are taking the gaokao, which is a little less than last year’s record of 13.42 million.
To make sure everything goes smoothly, the government is helping local schools get ready. They’re making sure students have everything they need, like good places to stay, quiet rooms, and even help with transportation. 🚌
They’re also working hard to stop any cheating. There will be strict security checks at the exam sites. Students can’t bring in phones, smart watches, or even smart glasses! 🚫📱⌚
Special care is being given to students who need extra help. For example, Braille test papers have been prepared for 16 blind students. Also, over 14,000 students with disabilities are getting the help they need to take the test. 😊
Students can also get support if they’re feeling nervous. There are people ready to give them advice and help them stay calm. 🧘♀️🧘♂️
