Meet Gao: The Man Who Lost 28 Kilograms in 4 Months!
Have you ever tried to change a habit? Maybe eat more veggies or play more sports? 🤸♂️ Well, meet Gao, a 47-year-old man from China who decided to get super serious about his health!
Gao had been struggling with his weight since he was in junior high school. Back then, he weighed 135 kilograms (that’s like carrying around a small panda!). 🐼 Even though his parents tried to help him by encouraging sports, his weight kept going up and down.
In 2009, he had a big wake-up call. Gao’s weight had reached 145 kilograms, and he started having health problems like high blood pressure. He knew he had to make a change. So, he worked really hard and lost 45 kilograms in just eight months! That’s amazing, right? 💪
But then, like many people, Gao found himself slipping back into old habits, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. He gained weight again.
Last year, Gao moved to Saudi Arabia for his job in marketing. Being in a new place, he decided it was the perfect time to focus on his health. In June, he weighed 138 kilograms, but he set a goal to lose weight.
Gao taught himself about nutrition (that’s learning about healthy food 🍎). He made a detailed diet plan and watched how many calories he ate. He tried to eat balanced meals with protein (like eggs and meat) and lots of vegetables. He also cut down on sugary drinks and sweet treats. 🍰
For exercise, Gao got creative! He did aerobics in the evenings and used big bottles filled with water or sand as weights to build muscle. 🏋️♂️
After four months of hard work, Gao lost 28 kilograms! Now he weighs 110 kilograms and feels stronger and healthier. When he went back home, his daughter was surprised. She asked, “Where did my big-bellied dad go?” 😲
Gao’s friends and co-workers were inspired by his success. Two of his colleagues even lost around 10 kilograms each!
His company held a sports event to encourage everyone to be more active. They played games like running races and had a lot of fun. Gao hopes that everyone can join the wellness wave and become healthier.
