Hey movie and TV fans! 📺 Do you love watching films and shows from around the world? Well, we’ve got exciting news for you! The Shanghai International Film Festival is kicking off on June 13 and will run until June 22. And guess what? Right after that, the Shanghai TV Festival starts from June 23 to 27! How cool is that? 😃
These awesome events are organized by the China Media Group and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. This year, over 3,900 films and nearly 1,000 TV programs will compete for the amazing Golden Goblet Award and the Magnolia Award. 🌟
Famous people are joining in too! Renowned Italian director Giuseppe Tornatore will lead the jury for the Golden Goblet Awards. You might know him from his famous movie “Cinema Paradiso”! Also, Chinese actor Chen Baoguo will be the jury president for the Magnolia Award in the TV category. 🎥
This year, the festival has a new section called “Asia Now” to focus on movies from all over Asia. 🌏 Plus, to celebrate 50 years of China-European Union relations and 55 years of China-Italy friendship, there will be a special Italian Film Week! Over 20 amazing Italian movies will be shown, including classics like “Rome” and “Cinema Paradiso“. 🍿
