Guess what? China has just launched two new radar satellites into space! 🚀
On Monday morning, a big rocket called the Long March-2C blasted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China. This rocket carried two satellites named Siwei Gaojing-2 03 and 04. Pretty cool names, right?
So, what do these satellites do? 🛰️
They are special because they have high-resolution radar. This means they can take super clear pictures of Earth, day or night, rain or shine! ☀️🌧️ That’s because radar can see through clouds and doesn’t need sunlight.
These satellites help with lots of things, like:
- Watching over natural resources 🌳
- Keeping cities safe 🏙️
- Helping in emergencies 🚒
- Looking after the seas 🌊
The Long March-2C rocket is really amazing too. It’s like the space bus that takes satellites into orbit. This was its 547th flight mission! That’s a lot of trips to space!
